The Siemens "Wireless Room Solution" is a Thread and KNX-IoT-based system for monitoring and controlling various environmental parameters such as temperature.
As part of the Siemens team, we took over a firmware, optimized and extended it to create a robust Thread radio module for the Wireless Room Solution.

Initial situation, goals & challenges
A partially developed firmware was taken over, had to be fully developed, expanded with new features, and tested.
Project results & customer benefits
With a specialist for the Nordic nRF52840 chip and in-depth Thread expertise, we were able to help Siemens build a stable and future-proof solution.
The project result was a fully functional, robust radio module for the Siemens Wireless Room Solution with optimized firmware, new features such as FOTA, improved architecture, and stable integration of Thread and KNX IoT protocols.
